Manager, Operations and Development

The firm is currently seeking a seasoned professional for a position in our Tour Operations department. Responsibilities would be the day-to-day management of complex travel programs, interaction with the firm's international suppliers, and itinerary development. The work environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, and demands superior organization skills and discipline. The successful candidate will possess at least 5 years experience with:

  • High-end group travel operations or event planning
  • Contract negotiations and bookings with hotel, cruise and land operators
  • Special event research and booking
  • Program itinerary research and production

To be considered, candidates must have a four-year college degree. Experience living and working in a foreign locale, as well as foreign language skills, are pluses. Superior writing and speaking abilities are necessary. Organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a deadline-sensitive business are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required and an aptitude for working with a database is an advantage. Additionally, the employee will be expected to travel occasionally to accompany programs as a travel director and/or attend trade shows. Manager, Sales & Marketing


Arrangements Abroad is looking for an experienced sales/account manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have worked within the affinity and/or luxury travel markets, preferably in a B2B sales capacity, and have extensive personal travel experience and/or a broad understanding of a wide range of destinations and products (cruise [river and sea], train, group travel). Familiarity with nonprofits, particularly as relates to fundraising/development, is an added bonus as is an affinity for culture and learning.


Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Manage the accounts of key institutional clients
  • Overseeing current departure portfolio, including tracking marketing initiatives, reservation activity and expected program performance
  • Plan future trip portfolio, securing commitments for new programs
  • Serve as liaison between clients and internal staff, ensuring deliverables are executed in a timely fashion
  • Prospect, pitch, and convert new leads
  • Develop unique and compelling programs
  • Manage program proposals from inception to completion
  • Oversee program pricing
  • Collaborate on Marketing materials, including proofing brochure copy and program collateral
  • Manage commission payments to institutional sponsors

Key skills include:

  • Attention to detail
  • Command of program detail  is critical -  logistics, pricing, and special events
  • Ability to multitask
  • Manage a portfolio of programs with departure dates up to three years from the present.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google platforms (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Drive)
  • Exceptional written and communication skills
  • Willing to travel for sales calls
  • Sales team and process leadership

Client Services Internship*

The intern supports all activities inside the Client Services department. The CS Associates are the principal points of contact for the firm's institutional sponsors and individual travelers. To be considered, candidates must be pursuing or have a four-year college degree. Organizational skills are key, and the ability to work effectively in a deadline-sensitive business is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and the ability to learn other software-based management tools is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Provide data, analytic, and administrative support to the Client Services Associates and Sales teams

* Help with marketing efforts, including list pulling and promotions

* Assist with ViaTour database management, a custom Microsoft Access platform, including updates, quality assurance, and tour processing.

* Compile mailings materials and documents for upcoming trips

* Assist with content updates on website, blog, and other digital assets

* Support social media platforms

* Help with general office tasks on an as-need basis

Desired Skills and Experience

* Knack for problem solving, collaboration, and project management

* Ready to help and jump-in attitude, ability to work independently

* Passion for customer and user experience

* Experience in direct mail and data hygiene desirable

* Experience with relational databases, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word a plus

Data and Marketing Intern*

This dynamic individual will assist with initiatives related to database integrity, quality assurance, tour promotion, and other analytic efforts throughout the company. The ideal candidate will combine experience and skills in database management, Microsoft Excel, creative data use, and marketing ideas. While working with our sales team, communications, operations, and client services departments, this person will help bridge gaps of information sharing and resources.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Assist with ViaTour database management, a custom Microsoft Access platform, including updates, quality assurance, and tour processing.

* Provide data, analytic, and administrative support to all departments

* Help with marketing efforts, including managing our list pulling and promotions process

* Contribute to CRM and database enhancement projects, including: data hygiene and user testing

* Assist with content updates on website, blog, and support social media platforms
