Admire the celebrated landscapes that inspired the Hudson River School artists on a springtime sojourn in the historic Hudson Valley

Tour spectacular gardens, splendid mansions, and historic homes including Kykuit, the magnificent Rockefeller estate, and Lyndhurst, home of railroad magnate Jay Gould. Stroll amidst the splendor of the Gilded Age at the Vanderbilt Mansion at Hyde Park and visit Olana, the hilltop Moorish fantasy created by Calvert Vaux for painter Frederic Edwin Church. Admire the stained-glass windows designed by Marc Chagall and Henri Matisse at Union Church in Pocantico Hills.

At the outdoor sculpture park Storm King Art Center, see site-specific works created by artists including Alexander Calder and Richard Serra. View contemporary art at Dia: Beacon, enjoy a wine tasting at the oldest vineyard in America, and have lunch at the Culinary Institute of America. In the village of Rhinebeck, the Beekman Arms and Delamater Inn will provide the ideal accommodations. The hotel -- a member of the National Trust's Historic Hotels of America program -- has operated continuously since 1766.
